An Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Shop

In 2015, Scoop Du Jour was founded by Shannon McAuley and Fran Abbott after they discussed the need for an ice cream shop in the Village of Chatham. Both of them wanted to see an old-fashioned, hand-scooped ice cream shop, and when they realized they had over 50 years of combined years of experience in retail, they went for it! The parlor has been a success since it opened on August 6th, 2015.

As a community-minded pair, Shannon and Fran enjoy giving back to Chatham schools, local organizations, and fundraisers. Scoop Du Jour features artwork created by local youth, a stage for acoustic music performances, and open mic nights when you visit us! You'll be delighted by over 35 flavors of ice cream, delicious food, and our friendly staff.
